FILM SCREENING: GREEN FIRE: ALDO LEOPOLD AND A LAND ETHIC FOR OUR TIME
Aldo Leopold (1887-1948) pioneered a “land ethic” through his experiences in forestry and wildlife management and his own reflections on “the relation of people to the land.” Join environmentalist and film narrator, Curt Meine, for a screening of the documentary, “Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time.” An afternoon event includes brief presentations by Curt Meine, a screening of the film, and the opportunity to mingle with people engaged in local environmental efforts. The film and presentations are repeated in the evening.
Curt Meine is a Senior Fellow with the Aldo Leopold Foundation and serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He has a PhD from the Land Resources program at UW—Madison and has published a biography of Aldo Leopold.
