Aldo Leopold celebration, Loras College, Iowa

Share

Join us on the Loras Campus on Sunday March 8 as we celebrate a evening of Aldo Leopold and his book, A Sand County Almanac. The States of Iowa and Wisconsin have declared the first week of March Leopold Week. Many groups and cities will come together to discuss Leopold's writings and read sections of the Sand County Almanac in an effort to spread the word about his land ethic. We will meet at 7pm in the Arizona Room of the Alumni Campus Center to view the award winning film Green Fire which documents Leopold's life and his influence on current land conservation efforts. After the one hour film, attendees can volunteer to read their favorite section of A Sand County Almanac to the group. Join us for this opportunity to celebrate Aldo Leopold and his Land Ethic. This event is free and open to the public. Bring your own copy of A Sand County Almanac.
